Allen County Council on Aging

The Allen County Council on Aging serves adults age 60 and above to foster their independence and improved quality of life. Allen County became the first Council on Aging in the state of Indiana to become incorporated.

What started in 1972 as an information and referral source for seniors searching for services that were necessary to maintain independent living, the Council on Aging soon blossomed into an agency that provides seniors with Transportation, In-Home Services, HandyChore, TeleCare, and Medical Equipment Loan.

Our experience and dedication enable us to provide exceptional services in response to needs identified by the seniors themselves.

Caring For Your Parents

May is Older Americans Month, and in celebration of our elderly, the Allen County Council on Aging has partnered with PBS Channel 39, Aging and In-Home Services and the Allen County Public Library to bring an evening of information gathering to caregivers of seniors. The event will be held Thursday, May 8; 5:30 pm- 8:30 pm.; at the main branch (downtown Fort Wayne) of the Allen County Public Library.
