Thank you for visiting Allen County Council on Aging’s website.  We are committed to making it possible for seniors to remain in their homes for as long as is safely possible.  ACCA has been in existence in Allen County since 1972, providing transportation, housekeeping assistance, help with home maintenance, daily reassurance phone calls, information and referral, and equipment loan.  Our newest program, CountiLink, offers rural public transit for residents of all ages into or out of Fort Wayne from rural Allen County or between rural Allen County towns.

As the number of seniors grows rapidly, we are being innovative in our sources of funding and the programs we provide.  Several collaborations with other not-for-profits and government entities are on the horizon and we look forward to serving Allen County for a long time to come.  Whether it is providing the assistance so young families who are caring for their parents can continue to work or helping a senior remain in the place that holds so many wonderful memories – their home – just call and we’ll be happy to help.  Thanks for helping us find solutions for independent living and if you feel so inclined, please visit our donation page to enable us to provide more services to more seniors.
